Born and raised in Portland, Penny is a true Portlander. Penny has been styling hair for over 30 years. Despite her years of experience, Penny continues to educate herself about new hair trends and styling techniques. She absolutely loves Portland’s strong sense of community, support for small businesses, and drive to be a green city. Outside the hair studio, Penny can be found singing in the Portland Peace Choir. She is also a reiki master and has been studying energy work for over 20 years. Penny is a yoga and cycling instructor at 24 Hour Fitness.
With over twenty years of experience, Karen’s expert hair styling skills are ready to execute your vision for your new look. She prides herself on working closely with clients throughout the styling process and often builds lasting relationships with them that go beyond the salon chair! As the industry is ever evolving, Karen is a lifelong student of the hair trade and keeps on top of current trends by pursuing specialized training. She is professionally certified in applying extensions and holds a master of color certificate. When she’s not stylin’, Karen enjoys exploring her adopted hometown of Portland as well as the Oregon Coast through its food scene. She also enjoys entertaining her tribe of friends and family with her husband Toby and their two pups.
Trained by Aveda, TIGI, and American Crew, Curt brings years of skilled hair styling experience to the team. Plus, he is Goldwell certified in hair coloring to boot. In addition to Curt’s experience, he has done his fair share of traveling. Curt started his life in Detroit, spent his high school days in Beijing, China, a few years in California, moved back to Michigan (this time Ann Arbor), and made his way to Portland, Oregon, to further his hair styling career. When Curt isn’t styling hair, you will probably find him running, playing instruments, studying other languages, and exploring the great Oregon wilderness.
Jennie is an Oregon native and experienced hairstylist who uses only the best organic, vegan, cruelty-free, and ammonia-free color and styling products. She is a firm believer in using sustainable, healthy, and animal cruelty-free beauty products. She cares for animals and the environment, which is why she loves Portland. Rain or shine, you can often find Jennie taking her three lovable rescue mutts to a park, playing soccer, baking or laughing up a storm as she watches comedies. Born and raised in Vietnam, Phung moved to the United States more than 20 years ago to pursue her hair stylist dreams. Phung has extensive hairstyling experience. She graduated from beauty school back in 1999, worked at Dosha Salon Spa for 12 years, is certified in Brazilian Blowouts and permanent straightening, and is constantly learning new techniques from fellow hair stylists on YouTube. Outside the hair salon, you will find Phung spending time with her family, traveling, reading, listening to music, and dancing away in our beautiful City of Roses.
Xandréa (Zan-Dray-ah) became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2013 at the age of twenty one graduating school at East West College of the Healing Arts. She has broadened her knowledge in educated touch and intuition based healing
As a licensed Esthetician for nearly 12 years, Niki is excited to bring her expertise from Southern California to her hometown, Portland. She has extensive experience in full body waxing, brow & lash tints, and cosmetic tattoos.
She has seen every single hair and skin type out there. With an estimation of around 30,000 waxes under her belt, she has truly mastered the art of waxing. After trying countless waxes and methods over the years, Niki has developed her own technique paired with the best quality wax that creates a very quick and excellent wax experience unlike any other. Rest assured that your wax will be nearly painless and never awkward at all!
